چکیده

This paper deals with the problem of creating and maintaining a spatial subdivision, deened by a set of surface patches. The main goal is to create a set of functions which provides a layer of abstraction capable of hiding the geometric and topological problems which occur when one creates and manipulates spatial subdivisions. The study of arbitrary spatial subdivisions extends and uniies the techniques used in nonmanifold solid modeling and allows the modeling of heterogeneous objects.

Video Subject Inpainting: A Posture-Based Method

Despite recent advances in video inpainting techniques, reconstructing large missing regions of a moving subject while its scale changes remains an elusive goal. In this paper, we have introduced a scale-change invariant method for large missing regions to tackle this problem. Using this framework, first the moving foreground is separated from the background and its scale is equalized. Then, a ...

Analytical solutions for tree-like structure modelling using subdivision surfaces

We present a novel approach to efficiently modelling branch structures with high-quality meshes. Our approach has the following advantages. First, the limit surface can fit the target skeleton models as tightly as possible by reversely calculating the control vertices of subdivision surfaces. Second, high performance is achieved through our proposed analytical solutions and the parallel subdivi...

A unified subdivision approach for multi-dimensional non-manifold modeling

This paper presents a new unified subdivision scheme that is defined over a k-simplicial complex in n-D space with k ≤ 3. We first present a series of definitions to facilitate topological inquiries during the subdivision process. The scheme is derived from the double (k + 1)-directional box splines over k-simplicial domains. Thus, it guarantees a certain level of smoothness in the limit on a r...

Spatial modelling of zonality elements based on compositional nature of geochemical data using geostatistical approach: a case study of Baghqloom area, Iran

Due to the existence of a constant sum of constraints, the geochemical data is presented as the compositional data that has a closed number system. A closed number system is a dataset that includes several variables. The summation value of variables is constant, being equal to one. By calculating the correlation coefficient of a closed number system and comparing it with an open number system, ...

C1 Analysis of Hermite Subdivision Schemes on Manifolds

We propose two adaptations of linear Hermite subdivisions schemes to operate on manifold-valued data based on a Log-exp approach and on projection, respectively. Furthermore, we introduce a new proximity condition, which bounds the difference between a linear Hermite subdivision scheme and its manifold-valued analogue. Verification of this condition gives the main result: The manifold-valued He...
